High Desert Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation (HDWRR) was formally established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and licensed by the ODFW in 2015 with the mission to protect, preserve and rehabilitate Central Oregons diverse wildlife species while promoting awareness toward the preservation and protection of native wildlife and the environment they inhabit. Our ultimate goal is to successfully rescue, rehabilitate and release orphaned and injured wildlife back into natural habitats.
An integral part of our mission is to educate the public about the importance of Oregons native fauna and its critical role in maintaining a healthy, balanced ecosystem, which is key to the essence of the Oregon experience. In particular, we try to educate the public on the many ways people can alter their behavior to lessen human impact on wildlife. Our ultimate goal is to establish a fully equipped wildlife center, with an education center and a state of the art hospital.
